Rams extend offer to Brett Favre, world rejoices when he declines

The St. Louis Rams expressed interest or at least contacted representatives for retired quarterback Brett Favre after Sam Bradford's season abruptly ended with a torn ACL. Favre later told the press, "It's flattering, but there's no way I'm gonna do that."

Fantasy Analysis:

Brett, can I call you Brett? Brett, let me just speak on behalf of everyone, alive or dead, when I say that we are happy to hear you will remain retired. We are happy to hear that you must be relatively content having moved on with your life. You're 44 years old. You're doing a bunch of those Wrangler Jeans commercials. We've moved on, you've moved on. It's for the best. The Rams will have make due with Kellen Clemens, Austin Davis and Brady Quinn @BQ9.

Really? You'd rather watch Quinn, Clemens, or Davis than Favre. Favre will be better than those guys at 60!

Mr. DeLima, your utter lack of respect for one of the greatest quarterback, players, and from what other players have stated an all around decent person is rather offensive. As part of the "world", I can say that I would rather see Brett Favre throw an interception, get sacked, score a touchdown or run like Quasimodo as he is flushed from the pocket 5000 times before I would want to watch one of the obviously sub par young men mentioned in his stead. You cheapen yourself and you cheapen this site with your shoddy humor and use of sophomoric attempt to make light of a great carrier.
