Bucs place WR Mike Williams on injured reserve

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams @Mikebuc19 was placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury. He is done for the year. Williams has been dealing with this injury for at least a couple weeks. He will take a backseat to Tiquan Underwood @TiUnderwood and Chris Owusu @Owusu81.

Fantasy Analysis:

This confirms and updates a previous post about the same injury for Williams. He had his own concerns he would be out for the year a couple days ago. With injuries piling up, the only players this really benefits are the ones who weren't seeing much playing time. For fantasy starters like Vincent Jackson or even Mike James, this places more pressure on them to perform despite defenses likely really keying in on them. Hopefully Mike Glennon can continue to develop in a positive way while gaining valuable experience.

The rookie gun-slinger in TB has looked at time skiddish but over-all holding his own on a team headed nowhere fast. The chemistry between he and Vincent Jackson has been a giant relief for V-Jax owners who assumed The Bucs were simply shutting it down for the year after the Freeman trade and the Martin injury.
