Steelers WR Markus Wheaton could return Week 9

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Markus Wheaton is on track to return Week 9 from a broken finger injury. The former Oregon State pass-catcher has not played since Week 4. In that game, he played 46-percent of snaps, which at the time was a huge jump in playing time. At this time, Wheaton is the Steelers' No. 3 receiver but that depends on the role of veteran WR Jerricho Cotchery @cotcheryfoundat.

Fantasy Analysis:

Wheaton's fantasy value is limited to dynasty leagues. Pittsburgh provides enough production for Antonio Brown @AntonioBrown84 and on occasion, Emmanuel Sanders @E_Sanders88. Beyond that, you're just gambling and hoping for a big game. Pittsburgh ranks 13th in passing yards per game (253.4). With Sanders playing on a one-year deal, Wheaton could move up on the depth chart next year if the Steelers opt to allow Sanders to hit free agency.
