Texans RBs Arian Foster & Ben Tate game-time decisions

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak told reporters running backs Arian Foster @ArianFoster and Ben Rate would be game-time decisions in Week 9 as both players recover from lingering injuries. Foster is having hamstring problems and Tate is attempting to play through fractured ribs. Behind them on the depth chart would be RBs Ray Graham, Dennis Johnson and Deji Karim @KingKarim36. There is no official word on the health or full extent of either players' injuries.

Fantasy Analysis:

Through seven games, Foster only has one touchdown. In his last two seasons, over 29 games, he scored 30 TDs. This huge and significant dropoff makes Foster a mediocre fantasy RB2 in most weeks and it doesn't help his case that his touches are declining as well. Barring a huge turnaround, Foster should float in and out of your lineup based on matchup. Tate is the guy you want to own short-term. The reports suggest Tate is the more likely to start of the two.

"Barring a huge turnaround, Foster should float in and out of your lineup based on matchup." ???? before his hammy injury he put up: 22, 11 19 pts. I dont call that a low end RB2. What are you smoking?

No, what are u smoking? U completely contradict yourself in your statement "before his hammy injury" b/c u shrug off the fact that he's so injury prone, which completely devalues him week to week. For example, in weeks 3 and 7, ie around your listed stretch of only 3 games (which are boarder line RB1 numbers), was he 100% when he scored 5 and 1pt(s), respectively? There's no doubt he's a RB2 and stating "low end" is NOT a stretch. There are NO RB1s who score inconsistently like this and are listed on the injury report every week. Just b/c a guy was the #1 RB a couple yrs ago doesn't mean he's automatically still a RB1 1 or 2yrs later. He's banged up, inconsistent, and playing in a bad offense... RB2 all the way. Because of all these negatives surrounding him, I'd be more inclined to start Lamar Miller or some other guy who's stock is rising, not falling, which is so obvious the case with Foster... this shouldn't really be a surprise either considering his 3.4YPC last year and all the analysts predicting another injury plagued down year.
