Giants RB David Wilson's injury 'significantly' improved, but..

The New York Giants released a formal statement in regards to running back David Wilson @4stillRunning's neck injury. For now, doctors don't believe he needs surgery, although that could still change. The second-year back has a herniated disc in his neck. "The determination was made that while there has been significant improvement with the herniation, Wilson is still not clear to resume football activities," the statement said. "Wilson will undergo another evaluation in several weeks."

Fantasy Analysis:

Things couldn't have gone much worse for Wilson. More fumbles, a woeful offensive line, so many losses and this lingering serious neck injury. Fantasy owners should have long since cut Wilson and moved on. This just isn't his year. Next year, the question becomes how far will he fall in redraft leagues and will he retain a split role with Andre Brown @drebrown35 or another back next season. Wilson will of course plummet in his average draft position and might be a nice value play as a RB drafted towards the back-end of drafts.
