Vikings RB Adrian Peterson struggled with groin injury

During the Minnesota Vikings' loss to Seattle Sunday, running back Adrian Peterson @AdrianPeterson said he was bothered by a painful groin injury. The former Oklahoma back did not practice Thursday or Friday. He finished the game with one of his worst performances in 2013. He rushed for just 65 yards on 21 carries, good for a 3.1 ypc average. "There were a couple plays in the first half, oh man, I knew if I was able to explode away the way I normally do I could have gotten some big chunks, even taken it to the house."

Fantasy Analysis:

Peterson with a bum groin is apparently just as good as your average, run-of-the-mill NFL back. The Vikings will undoubtedly take it easy on him during the week and provide as many rest days as needed. Minnesota's offense is already rather limited and losing Peterson is simply not an option. Fantasy owners should continue to ride Peterson all season long. Prior to this game, he had four TDs in his last three games. Peterson is still on pace for a very healthy 1,300-plus rushing yards and 14 TDs.
