When his knee was injured during the Denver Broncos' eventual win over Kansas City, tight end Julius Thomas looked like he might be out for a significant amount of time. The third-year breakout star will have more tests done on his knee Monday and possibly through the week. There isn't very much speculation about the injury at this time and results should be available by Monday night.
Thomas' reception and yardage totals haven't been that great; however, his 10 TDs in 10 games is certainly enough to keep him near or at the top of the pile at his position. Losing Thomas right now would be a big blow to the Denver and fantasy owners. Joel Dreessen is obviously not a great replacement, but he does have Peyton Manning at his disposal. Rather than take a blind stab at the cesspool of TE2s out there on the waiver wire, Dreessen should be your choice. This is assuming Thomas' injury is significant and will keep him out for at least a game or longer.
