Packers QB Aaron Rodgers not yet cleared; QB Matt Flynn taking first-team practice reps

Packers quarterback Matt Flynn started in place of Aaron Rodgers @AaronRodgers12 for one game in 2010 and 2011 each. Now, after about two years and nearly $15 million made in five games, it looks like Flynn will have to start in place of Rodgers once again. Flynn took the first-team snaps during Tuesday's practice while Scott Tolzien backed him up. Rodgers is on track to miss his fourth consecutive game due to a fractured left collarbone. He said during a Tuesday radio interview that he has only been cleared to practice so far, not play.

Fantasy Analysis:

Flynn's odyssey is about to come full circle, especially considering his Week 13 opponent, the Lions. They were the team that allowed Flynn to throw for 480 yards and six touchdowns in 2011's regular-season finale. Head coach Mike McCarthy hasn't made anything official, but it certainly looks like Flynn will start on Thanksgiving. Flynn is not a fantasy starter against this terrible pass defense. However, Flynn connected with Jarrett Boykin @BoyKinHeCatch for a late touchdown last week, and he should be able to keep Jordy Nelson @JordyRNelson inside the top 15 at WR.
