Giants WR Hakeem Nicks returns to practice
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said Sunday that wide receiver Hakeem Nicks didn't play in Week 12 because his abdomen injury forced him to miss too much practice time. If that's true, Nicks is making sure Coughlin can't use that reason this week. Nicks went through limited practice on Wednesday, and Coughlin said he is hopeful that Nicks will be active Sunday night versus the Redskins.
By comparison, Nicks didn't practice last Wednesday. So, he's on the right track. But after 10 games of no touchdowns and only three games of more than 70 yards, it probably doesn't matter a whole lot for fantasy purposes. Nicks is not a good option this week, even against the Redskins' pitiful pass defense. Rueben Randle is the better play.
