First off, here's to everyone who reads this enjoying a terrific Thanksgiving. You know the drill: Football, food, more football, more food. And if there's any spare time, you can talk to your family every once in a while.
This will be a modified version of my usual Sunday morning injury report, dedicated to the three games that await us today. This post will be updated throughout the day as the inactives report for each game come in (about 90 minutes prior to each kickoff). There aren't many fantasy-relevant players whose status is in question today other than Raiders running back Darren McFadden , who is expected to play. But if there are any surprises, we'll let you know.
Players who have already been ruled out for today's games include Denarius Moore , Aaron Rodgers , and Jonathan Franklin. The impact of their absences will be discussed in the fantasy analysis section below. For a full rundown of injuries around the league this week, click the link below to the NFL's official injury report.
Packers at Lions
-- As expected, Lions WR Calvin Johnson is active despite a knee injury. He didn't practice on Monday or Tuesday, but his availability for this game was never in doubt. He was listed as probable. You know to start him.
-- Packers TE Brandon Bostick is inactive due to a concussion. He was listed as questionable. Andrew Quarless will be the Packers' main tight end today. He is not a fantasy option.
Raiders at Cowboys
-- Raiders RB Darren McFadden is officially active. He missed almost the entire month of November due to a hamstring injury. It's unknown how much work he will get, but he will clearly play second fiddle to Rashad Jennings, who is a RB1 against the Cowboys' defense.
-- Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is active. He was listed as probable due to a back injury. He hasn't met preseason expectations, but he remains an easy WR1.
-- Raiders TE Mychal Rivera is active four days after suffering a concussion. He is not really on the fantasy radar, but it's nice to see that he's OK after taking a really scary hit last week.
-- Cowboys WR Miles Austin is active. This means more to Terrance Williams' fantasy value than to Austin's. Both should be on your bench.
Steelers at Ravens
-- There aren't any fantasy-relevant players who enter this game with some sort of significant injury. Steelers TE Heath Miller was listed as probable, but not because of an injury. He is officially active and is a TE2
-- Moore is going to miss his second consecutive game due to a shoulder injury. He hasn't practiced in two weeks, but the team is hoping to have him back in time for Week 14. Rod Streater will be Matt McGloin's No. 1 WR against the Cowboys. Considering the matchup and the opportunity, Streater is on the WR3 radar, especially in PPR leagues.
-- Rodgers is practicing, but he hasn't been cleared to play yet. He fractured his left collarbone on Nov. 4. Matt Flynn will get the start today versus the Lions with Scott Tolzien backing him up. Flynn is only a mediocre QB2, but I would not be worried to start Jordy Nelson or Jarrett Boykin with him under center.
-- The Packers placed Franklin on injured reserve Wednesday due to a concussion he suffered last week. The rookie had a disappointing season, one that finishes with just 19 carries, one touchdown and two fumbles. He will vie to be the change-of-pace back behind Eddie Lacy in 2014.
