Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has been fired

FOX Sports Jay Glazer tweeted this Friday morning:
"Texans assistants have been informed by Coach (Gary) Kubiak that he has been fired. Coach told them he loves them but has been let go."
Kubiak has been Houston's head coach since 2006 and, prior to today, had been presiding over a team that had lost 11 consecutive games. The Texans' 2-11 record is the worst in the NFL. Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips will serve as interim head coach.

Fantasy Analysis:

A very tough year for Kubiak on and off the field ends in the way most thought it would, however maybe not during the season. It's hard to remember that the Texans were 11-1 last year. Then they lost 42-14 to the Patriots on Monday Night Football, and they have gone 4-14 since. The quarterback position led the downfall, and you have to assume the Texans will be looking to upgrade there in the draft. However, Matt Schaub @MSchaub8 is under contract through 2016 after signing a five-year, $66 million deal in September of last year.
