Ravens TE Dennis Pitta set to make season debut
Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta fractured and dislocated his right hip on the third day of training camp. About four and a half months and one surgery later, he is finally ready to play. Pitta, who has been practicing for the past three weeks, was officially added to the Ravens' active roster Saturday.
The Ravens are getting very little out of tight ends Ed Dickson and Dallas Clark, so Pitta's return to the field is a welcome sight for Joe Flacco and this receiver-starved offense. But he shouldn't be in your lineup right away. Pitta will be on a very limited snap count Sunday against the Vikings. He is just a TE2 stash in deeper leagues for the time being.
