Broncos WR Wes Welker concussed, might not play Thursday

The Broncos kick off Week 15 on Thursday when they host the Chargers. They may very well be without wide receiver Wes Welker @WesWelker for that game. On Sunday, Welker collided with Titans safety Bernard Pollard late in the first half as he was attempting to catch a low pass. Welker went to the sidelines after spending a short time lying on the field and was diagnosed with a concussion. This is Welker's second concussion of the season; he suffered his first one in Week 11.
Welker caught five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown before being ruled out for the rest of the game.

Fantasy Analysis:

Multiple concussions in such a short amount of time should be alarming to any player and team. Welker would have probably been questionable for Thursday's game if this was his first traumatic brain injury this year. But with two concussions in three weeks, I expect the Broncos to take extra precaution with Welker. He hasn't missed a game since 2010.
Demaryius Thomas @DemaryiusT, Eric Decker @EricDecker87, and Julius Thomas will see increased work if Welker is out, and all should be able to light up the Chargers' 28th-ranked pass defense.
