The Packers' win last Sunday over the Falcons kept their playoff hopes alive and, as a result, kept the hopes of fantasy owners that quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play before the end of the regular season equally alive. But wait -- a source is telling ESPN's Ed Werder not-so-good things.
"Packers pessimistic about Aaron Rodgers being cleared for Dallas," Werder tweeted Wednesday. "Scheduled for practice today but source says playing inside 8 weeks risky."
Eight weeks? Uh-oh. Rodgers just passed the five-week mark since fracturing his left collarbone on Monday. Once again, Rodgers went through some practice on Wednesday, but it's looking like he'll miss yet another game, this one against a pitiful Cowboys defense. Matt Flynn would get another start and, even in such an awesome matchup, continue to be a drain on the fantasy values of Jordy Nelson and friends. Nelson is the only Packers receiver worth starting with some measure of confidence this week, unfortunately.
