Seahawks WR Percy Harvin will be shut down until the playoffs
Seattle Seahwks WR Percy Harvin (hip) will not take the field again until the playoffs begin. HC Pete Carroll had stated that they would evaluate Harvin when the Seahawks hit the practice field on Wednesday. But Matt Verderame at SB Nation reports that the decision has been made, and Harvin will not return this regular season.
If you picked up Percy Harvin mid year hoping for a playoff boost from the oft-injured receiver, this news is dissaponting, but not surprising. Those owning Russell Wilson will continue to see low-end QB1 production for the final 2 weeks of the season against above-average pass defenses in Arizona and St. Louis. Harvin can be dropped in all redraft leagues, however, if you have a bench spot free in dynasty leagues, keep him and hope for a healthy playoffs and off season. Harvin finishes the season with 1 catch for 17 yards.
