Packers QB Aaron Rodgers still not cleared for week 16's Rob Demovsky is reporting that quarterback Aaron Rodgers @AaronRodgers12 has yet to be cleared for the Packers week 16 game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team followed the same formula as last week, having Rodgers and QB Matt Flynn split first team reps in Wednesday's practice. Team doctors examined Rodgers prior to the practice, but did not clear him for game action this weekend. Head Coach, Mike McCarthy, conveyed confidence in how he thinks Rodgers is looking. "Rodgers threw the ball extremely well, looked sharp," McCarthy said Wednesday after practice. "He's getting better.

Thursday's evaluation and subsequent practice will be huge in determining Rodgers' status for this weekend. Last week, Matt Flynn was taking all the first-team reps by Friday's practice. Rodgers did not speak to reporters after Wednesday's practice, but is expected to on Thursday.

Fantasy Analysis:

The good news is that, last week, Rodgers was ruled out well before Sunday. With the Packers playing at 4:25 ET Sunday, nobody in the fantasy world wants to hear the words, "game-time decision", come out of McCarthy's mouth, as that would force many to go with their 1:00 ET back-up plan.

However, with everyone saying he looks good, Rodgers saying he feels good, and his official status being 'Questionable', there is reason to remain cautiously optimistic that he is cleared before Friday's practice, gets all the first team reps, and is a go for anyone who's made it to their fantasy championship with him on their bench. Rodgers is one of those guys that, if you have him, you start him!!
