Chargers RB Ryan Mathews ends Sunday in walking boot

Chargers running back Ryan Mathews @rmathews24 overcame the Raiders' defense and a fourth-quarter ankle injury to gain more than 100 yards and a touchdown during a Sunday victory. However, Mathews left the locker room after the game wearing a protective boot over his left foot. As he headed away from the stadium, Mathews said the boot was "more precautionary than anything" and that he expects to play in Week 17 versus the Chiefs.

Fantasy Analysis:

A lot of jokes regarding Mathews' fragility have been made in the past, but he has played in every game this season and has really turned it on during the second half of the year. We'll keep an eye on this, but Mathews should be a solid RB2, maybe even a low-end RB1, at home against a Chiefs team that is locked into its playoff seeding. The Chargers need to win to have a chance at grabbing a playoff spot.
