Redskins HC Jay Gruden loves zone-read option, says Robert Griffin III is undisputed starting QB

Just a couple of small pieces of business following in the wake of today's announcement that Jay Gruden is the 25th different head coach in the history of the Washington Redskins.
Gruden put any question about a possible quarterback competition to rest, saying Robert Griffin III @RGIII "is the starter. There will be no competition.
And when asked for his thoughts on the zone-read option, Gruden said, "I love it."

Fantasy Analysis:

The support for Griffin was pretty much assumed, but it needed to be said following Mike Shanahan's botched handling of RG3.
Gruden may love the read option, but it's probably not going to be a huge part of his West Coast offense. This is both positive and negative for Griffin's fantasy value. The team will have to rely more on him as a passer as his rushing totals will drop, but it will probably also increase his chances of staying healthy. And it's not as if Griffin is a young Michael Vick in the pocket; he is much more polished. The Redskins need to surround him with a competent offensive line and better wide receivers.
