High winds and heavy rain expected in Seattle and Foxborough for Divisional games

According to ESPN's Ed Werder Seattle is expecting heavy rain with 30MPH winds. Given that no one in the playoffs pass as much as the Saints or runs as much as the Seahawks, the home field advantage at CenturyLink just got bigger.

Heavy rain and up to 45MPH gusts are expected for the Patriots/Colts game, which should disrupt the kicking game and medium to long passing game.

Fantasy Analysis:

According to Werder, Saints HC Sean Payton had Drew Brees @drewbrees practicing with wet footballs this week, but because it isn't the same as practicing in the rain, Payton wanted the facilities manager to set off the fire alarms, so the sprinklers would go off. Thankfully he was talked out of it.

Whenever QB's in the league are asked what weather bothers them, they always say wind, and because of the way these teams run their offenses, it should have a big impact.. With Pierre Thomas questionable, New Orleans will need to rely on Mark Ingram and the short passing game against the league's best defense. Look for Marshawn Lynch @MoneyLynch to see a lot of touches today, and don't be surprised if Russell Wilson @DangeRussWilson picks up big yards on the ground today.

Both the Colts and Patriots run a somewhat more balanced offense and if the there are 45MPH winds they will need to run the ball effectively. Understanding the dynamics of his home stadium should help Brady, but the Pats have had a ton of drops and a thin receiving core today so the advantage will be mitigated.

For your daily playoff fantasy games the bottom line is clear; move up the running QB's, the workhorse backs, and the receivers who get the ball in space.
