Patriots WR Aaron Dobson active, WR Kenbrell Thompkins inactive for AFC Championship

The Patriots will have wide receiver Aaron Dobson on the field for the first time since Week 17 today versus the Broncos. He's officially active despite a foot injury. But another Patriots outside receiver, Kenbrell Thompkins, is inactive. He suffered a concussion last week against the Colts and has been dealing with a hip injury since the start of December.

Fantasy Analysis:

Most likely, Thompkins simply didn't gain clearance from independent doctors in time to play today. As I've said all week, it's important for the Patriots to have somebody outside of the numbers who can take some defensive attention away from the likes of Julian Edelman @Edelman11, Danny Amendola @DannyAmendola, and Shane Vereen @ShaneVereen34. Dobson is a sneaky fantasy play, but there are many safer bets out there this afternoon.
