Report: Browns will interview Bills DC Mike Pettine for a third time tomorrow

We don't normally write about coaching interviews, but this is getting ridiculous.
The Browns want to spend even more time Mike Pettine. According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Pettine, the Bills' defensive coordinator, will fly to Cleveland on Thursday to have his third interview for the team's head-coaching position. Pettine and the Browns met for a second time on Tuesday, and there was a report that night Pettine was going to be the Browns' head coach. That could still come true, but the team sure is drawing this one out.
To add a pinch more of strange to this ordeal, the Browns reportedly interviewed recently fired Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano on Wednesday. However, multiple reports add that he will not be hired by Cleveland.

Fantasy Analysis:

Although I said Tuesday that I am not a huge fan of a decision to hire Pettine, I hope he gets the job at this point. Perhaps I'm naive, but a third interview seems a little excessive. If the Browns want him that badly, go ahead and give him the gig. But if the Browns are just killing time by interviewing Pettine only so they can make it look like they are putting forth a measure of effort until they get a chance to talk with someone they actually want to be their head coach -- one of the Seahawks' coordinators -- that would be pretty low.
