Report: Kyle Shanahan is Browns' new offensive coordinator

According to FOX Sports' Alex Marvez, the Browns have hired Kyle Shanahan to be their offensive coordinator. Shanahan was fired in December after spending four seasons as the Redskins' OC. Prior to that, he filled the same position for the Texans in 2008 and 2009.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Browns needed a sharp offensive mind to help out their head coach, defensive-minded Mike Pettine. Shanahan is most known for being right in the middle of the Redskins' full-season, rollercoaster soap opera with quarterback Robert Griffin III. But he played a role some productive offenses in Houston and D.C. This hire is good news -- or at least not bad news -- for Josh Gordon @JOSH_GORDONXII, who should be a target monster moving forward. And tight ends such as Owen Daniels, Fred Davis (in 2011), and Jordan Reed were very valuable in fantasy when Shanahan was their OC. Jordan Cameron should continue to thrive.
But outside of those two players, it's hard to say anything about the impact of this move on the rest of Cleveland's offense. The Browns are utterly desperate at quarterback and running back.
