Colts, RB Ahmad Bradshaw agree to 1-year contract

Pro Football Talk reports that the Colts have decided to give it another year with running back Ahmad Bradshaw @AhmadBradshaw. He played in just three games as a Colt in 2013, and it wasn't a foot problem that did him in for once. It was his neck. Bradshaw didn't play after Week 3 and underwent season-ending surgery in Week 5. He finished with 186 yards and two scores over 41 carries.

Fantasy Analysis:

That works out to 4.5 yards per carry. So, despite a lengthy injury history, Bradshaw showed that he can still be a productive piece at this level. He will turn 28 years old later this month and should be the odds-on favorite over Vick Ballard @VickBallard to start the 2014 season as Trent Richardson's direct backup. Free agent Donald Brown @Donaldb31 will be moving on. Given Richardson's failures during his first year in Indy, Bradshaw should be a fairly popular handcuff if he wins that No. 2 gig.
