Panthers sign TE Ed Dickson to 1-year deal
The Panthers added tight end Ed Dickson to their roster on Thursday. The two sides agreed to a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum of $795,000. Dickson spent four largely forgettable seasons with the Ravens and was no longer need there with Dennis Pitta and Owen Daniels in town.
His best statistical season came in 2011 when Dickson caught 54 passes in 16 games for 528 yards and five touchdowns.
The Panthers already have a solid tight end in Greg Olsen . Dickson will contribute depth and probably nothing much else. He is off the fantasy radar. Olsen remains safe as a TE1.
