Mike Bell sprains right knee

To the New Orleans Saints, the letters MCL are their nemesis right now. Running back Pierre Thomas missed most of the preseason and has just one carry this season due to a sprained MCL. Now it seems that Mike Bell, who is filling in for Thomas, has met the same fate. Thomas had a good game for the second week in a row, collecting 95 total yards and a touchdown during the Saints' blowout win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. But he left the game in the fourth quarter with what the team believes to be an MCL injury. The diagnosis likely won't be known until Wednesday, at the earliest.

It was good to see Thomas at least back on the field, but his one carry went for -4 yards. He better hurry back because If you look at what happened with Thomas, Bell is probably not going to play next week or for a while. Reggie Bush could see even more touches as a result.
