49ers RB Marcus Lattimore is ready

We've been tracking 49ers running back Marcus Lattimore @MarcusLattimore's long road back from his latest devestating knee injury. Most recently, Lattimore said in February that he was close to 100 percent. A couple of months later, Lattimore is way past being "close."
"If I prove it in practice, I don't think there's no excuse why I can't play," Lattimore told GoGamecocks.com. "I'm ready."
The South Carolina product is only 22 years old.

Fantasy Analysis:

Lattimore has a tremendous amount of dynasty value as Frank Gore is now into his 30s, and Kendall Hunter @KendallHunter32 isn't nearly as physically talented as Lattimore. For 2014, he'll look to gain playing time as a backup to Gore. But he will have to surpass Hunter on the depth chart first. A trade of LaMichael James @LaMichaelJames would help, too. Lattimore's fantasy value for this year may never be more than as a last-option handcuff. But, man, his future could be really bright.
