Colts WR Reggie Wayne cleared for football activities, will sit out OTAs
Reggie Wayne could be on the field with his teammates during OTAs, but he won't be. The Colts will play it safe with the 35-year-old wide receiver as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. Wayne has been medically cleared for football activities, but he won't do anything on the field until the Colts opening training camp in a little more than six weeks.
Quarterback Andrew Luck said Wayne will be back "better than ever." Wayne won't be as productive as he was in 2012, especially with the addition of Hakeem Nicks and the expected improvement of T.Y. Hilton. But he is still worthwhile as a possible WR3 in fantasy.
My biggest takeaway from this short story is that the Colts open training camp on July 23. In other words, the season is coming up quickly.
