Browns pushing RB Ben Tate for greatness

Or at least Browns running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery is.
The Browns' official website published an interview with Montgomery on Friday, one that is mostly about his playing career and current life as a coach. Montgomery said someone on Cleveland's roster has the ability to be the next in a long line of decorated Browns running backs, and its leader is Ben Tate @BenTateRB.
"It's time for him to put the jacket on and the cap on and say, 'Hey I'm the leader of this room,'" Montgomery said about Tate. "And it's time for the young guys to challenge him to be great."

Fantasy Analysis:

The top "young guy" behind Tate is rookie Terrance West. Chris Ogbonnaya @ChrisOgbonnaya, Isaiah Crowell, and Dion Lewis @DionLewis28 are also on the roster. Given the fact that Tate was somewhat injury-prone while not carrying a full workload in Houston, I think it would be smart for the team to rotate two or three backs this season. It's not the best thing for fantasy purposes, of course, but it would be for Cleveland since I don't think Tate can handle 250-plus carries over a 16-game season. And with Johnny Manziel, one thing is certain: The Browns will be running the ball early and often with whomever. Tate is a low-end RB2. West is a deep sleeper. And Crowell is for those who want to do some real digging.
