Falcons WR Julio Jones still targeting a Week 1 return

As expected, Julio Jones @juliojones_11 isn't taking part in OTAs with his Falcons teammates. He's spending his time working out on the side, catching some passes from Matt Ryan @M_Ryan02, and doing whatever he needs to do to begin the 2014 season fully healthy after seeing his 2013 campaign end in October due to a fractured foot that required surgery. Jones still has some hurdles to jump in his rehab, like getting cleared for explosive running, but he thinks he'll be good to go soon enough.
"I'm just running routes right now," Jones said in a Monday interview with SI.com. "... But now, just being able to plant off my foot, off my right foot that I injured last year, it feels really good. So that's what I'm able to do right now."
Jones said he is still ahead of schedule in his rehab, but he is not trying to rush things since the season is still months away.
"Week 1, I'll be ready to go," Jones said.

Fantasy Analysis:

The assumption earlier this year was that Jones would be full-go by training camp. It doesn't sound like that will be the case now, but yes, he should be fine for the regular season after taking it relatively slow in August. One thing I learned in this interview and subsequent articles: Jones' fracture was actually to his right foot. I've read many reputable sources say it was to his left foot and I have written it as such in the past, but that was incorrect. D'oh!
Regardless, Jones is a WR1 with one major red flag: He has broken his right foot in the same spot twice in the past three years. He was on pace for more than 1,800 yards last season prior to the injury.
