Patriots QB Tom Brady trying to improve accuracy, especially down the field

The man who has become one of this era's top QB coaches never played football professionally. Former MLB relief pitcher and pitching coach Tom House has been teaching and working with NFL quarterbacks for years now, helping them correct mistakes, improve mechanics and, overall, fulfill their potential. He guesses that half of the league's quarterbacks now work with him and his associates, and House's most famous client by far is Tom Brady.
This offseason, Brady is working with House in an effort to turn back the clock. The 37-year-old future Hall of Famer saw a lot of important numbers -- completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdown total, down-the-field completion percentage -- stoop to levels Brady hasn't seen in a long time, or never in some cases.
"As [Brady] is getting a little older, you lose a little strength, you lose a little flexibility," House said in a Sunday radio interview. "And what was happening was he was noticing that his accuracy and his long ball weren't what they were three or four years ago. So, we ran him through the computer, compared him to the models we have created for movement efficiency, and there were really, really small things that were causing his issues."
Specifically, what was causing Brady's issues? House said Brady's stride and throwing mechanics had become a little too "long." House also said Brady "wasn't maintaining his torque long enough," and his front side was too rotational.
House said Brady has done a good job of picking up on areas he needed to fix, tightening his stride and making other small adjustments so he can be a better quarterback.

Fantasy Analysis:

House said Brady wants to play into his mid-40s and thinks he can do so if he keeps his body in good shape. But at some point, Father Time will take him down, too. Perhaps Brady has fought him off for another year with what he's accomplished with House. Or maybe it won't matter; perhaps Brady is already into the inevitable physical downward spiral that comes with age
That sounds bleak, yeah?
But his advanced age by NFL standards is one reason why Brady is seen as only a low-end QB1 at best this season. Another reason is all of the uncertainty within his receiving corps. Brady is a fairly safe pick if you decide to skip on the elite fantasy QBs, but I'm skeptical that we will see him reach 30 touchdowns again.
