Cowboys regard RB Lance Dunbar as a 'complete weapon'

Lance Dunbar @Dunbar_CDB5 is a backup on the Cowboys' depth chart, but they know he has the versatility to be an integral part of their offense.
"He's a guy that's going to be a complete weapon," Running backs coach Gary Brown said of Dunbar. "We can line him up anywhere on the team -- tailback spot, at the wide receiver spot, in the slot. He has tremendous hands and he's just not a specialty guy. He could play tailback if you need him to go out there and give you 15 or 20 carries.
"Everybody would like to have a guy like Dunbar. You look at the (Darren) Sproles type guy. You look at guys around the league like (Danny) Woodhead from San Diego. They all have them. Not everybody has them but we all want them. Once you find one, you've got to find things for him to do and you've got to make sure that he's involved in the gameplan."
Dunbar was limited to just nine games last season after injuring a knee ligament, but he says he is fully healed now.

Fantasy Analysis:

This continues a line of feel-good stories about Dunbar. The team is creating plays for him, and play-caller Scott Linehan apparently "loves" him. We are all aware of DeMarco Murray @DeMarcoMurray's history of physical fragility. If you draft Murray this summer, you must make sure that you lock up Dunbar, too. He is ahead of Joseph Randle @JRAN_1 and Ryan Williams @lilsweetness34 with room to spare. Unlike Sproles and Woodhead, I don't think Dunbar will have every-week value if the starter remains healthy, but that could change if Linehan gets the ball into his hands 7-10 times per game. He is a top-notch handcuff who can be a decent bye-week replacement in deeper leagues.
