60 catches for WR Stevie Johnson? 'Under,' says 49ers reporter

Stevie Johnson @StevieJohnson13 caught 52 passes last season but only played in 12 games. Otherwise, he hasn't finished a season with fewer than 60 receptions since 2009, when he was an unknown to most of the football world. But less than 60 receptions may be the new normal for Johnson in San Francisco. The 49ers have an offense based around running the football with plenty of other receivers competing for looks -- Michael Crabtree @KingCrab15, Anquan Boldin @AnquanBoldin, Vernon Davis @VernonDavis85, Quinton Patton, etc. 49ers beat writer Matt Maiocco isn't betting on Johnson reaching 60. He said during a Tuesday chat with fans on CSNBayArea.com that he would take the under on 60 catches for Johnson.

Fantasy Analysis:

Sixty? I'd take the under on 50. And Johnson seems to be OK with taking a back seat to the Niners' other options (for now). He is a low-ceiling WR5.
