Dolphins WR Mike Wallace may return kickoffs

Wallace says that he may be utilized by Dolphins special teams this season as a returner. "I might get back there for kickoff returns," Wallace said. "At this point of my career, I just want to get the ball in my hands and make some plays." Wallace caught 73 balls for 930 yards and five touchdowns for the Dolphins last season. This spring there was talk that the Dolphins were seeking to trade Wallace, after awarding him a $60 million, five-year deal before the 2013 season, but at this point it looks like he'll be a Dolphin in the coming year.

Fantasy Analysis:

It's doubtful that kick returns will make any meaningful impact on Wallace's fantasy output, but would certainly put him at increased risk of injury. For the past two seasons Wallace has struggled to duplicate the success he enjoyed early in his career, although his numbers in his first year at Miami were better than many fantasy players realize. Wallace will look to return to his early-career form in the 2014 season, as he continues to adjust to a new quarterback and new system. However, the Dolphins' lack of other serious offensive threats may continue to hamper his production, as the speedy receiver draws the bulk of defensive attention.
