Anquan Boldin has high ankle sprain
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin was forced to go to the bench during the second half of Sunday's 27-3 victory against the Seattle Seahawks with what is being reported as a high ankle sprain. Boldin tried to play through the injury, but missed a lot of action in the second half and sat out for good once the game got out of hand. He ended the contest with six receptions for 54 yards. Boldin said after the game that he thought he would still be able to play in Sunday night's game against the New York Giants.
Fantasy Analysis:
If Boldin does have a high ankle sprain, it would be pretty optimistic that he could play against the Giants. High ankle sprains are usually two-week injuries, at least. Boldin missed a total of nine regular-season and playoff games in 2007 and 2008 due to various injuries and this will be a situation to closely monitor over the coming week. If Boldin can't play, expect Steve Breaston to get more looks. He took advantage of Boldin's absence with seven catches for 77 yards and a second-half touchdown. After watching what the Saints did to the Giants' secondary yesterday, players such as Breaston, Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald etc. are all very good plays in week seven.
