Trent Edwards expected to play in week 10

Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards missed the team's past two games and most of a third, but it looks like he won't be out for the next one. The Bills have a bye in week nine, which will give Edwards another week to get healthy, and he is expected to be back under center for a road game against the Tennessee Titans in week 10. A team source confirmed that Edwards will return to the starting lineup barring any setbacks in his recovery from a concussion that he suffered in week six against the Jets. Backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick did win two of those games, but he wasn't exactly impressive. Fitzpatrick completed 36 of 70 passes for 356 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions and compiled a 57.8 passer rating.

Fantasy Analysis:
Edwards wasn't playing all that well before the concussion -- five touchdowns and six interceptions with just 164 passing yards per game through the first five weeks -- but he is certainly an upgrade over Fitzpatrick. A match-up against the Titans can make any passing offense look like the New Orleans Saints. I wouldn't be against starting Edwards next week if you play in a two-quarterback league. That also means that Lee Evans and yes, even Terrell Owens are good starts as well.
