Matt Hasselbeck to be limited in practice, but expected to play Sunday

When Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck suffered a broken rib in week two, everyone knew that the injury would affect him for quite a while (even though he made his return to game action in week five). That injury's presence certainly made an appearance in week eight when Hasselbeck took a shot to his back early in the third quarter and was down for several moments. He didn't miss a play and finished that game, but he will certainly miss some -- if not all -- of this week's practices. The good news is that the team still expects Hasselbeck to start against the Detroit Lions in week nine.

Fantasy Analysis:
You shouldn't expect to see Hasselbeck practice until at least Friday. Seneca Wallace will take the first-team snaps in his place; but this is all precautionary. Hasselbeck will be back under center and ready to take advantage of a great match-up against the Lions, who rank 27th against the pass and have allowed the second-most passing touchdowns this season (18). Now, the Seahawks' offensive line is in shambles, but that may not be too much of a worry this week as the Lions don't present too much of a pass rush -- they have recorded a below-average 15 sacks. Hasselbeck is a must start in two quarterback leagues this week and maybe not a bad low-end No. 1 QB.
