Calvin Johnson to be game-time decision

Haven't we seen this story before? Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (who has missed the team's past two games with a knee injury) practiced for the second consecutive day on Thursday, but he will probably be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, according to head coach Jim Schwartz. Even Johnson didn't sound completely optimistic when he was asked about his availability for this game: "I'm practicing this week, but I'm not going to step out there and say that I'm going to play," he said. "But I feel real good. I have a good shot at getting on the field." Of course, Johnson practiced in limited fashion during the week before the week eight game against the St. Louis Rams. At that time, many thought he would play, but he ended up being a late scratch.

Fantasy Analysis:
Johnson may just be being humble or is trying to give away as little information as possible regarding his status for Sunday's game, as is the Lions' MO. But you should expect him to play against the Seahawks. He never practiced with the first team last week. Now he has done that on back-to-back days. It should also be mentioned that running back Kevin Smith, who is battling foot and shoulder injuries, practiced for the first time this week on Thursday, so the Lions may have their full complement of offensive skill players ready to go Sunday.
