Chiefs cut Larry JohnsonKansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson's two-week suspension for conduct detrimental to the team ended Monday, but everyone pretty much figured that he would never play for the Chiefs again. The team made that assumption a reality today, cutting Johnson. Johnson, who ran for more than 3,600 yards in a two-year period from 2006 to 2007, is in the midst of the worst season of his career. He is averaging just 2.7 yards per carry on 132 carries and has yet to score a touchdown. Johnson is now on waivers, but with his prorated $4.55 million base salary and $60,000-plus per-game roster bonus, he'll likely clear waivers and become an unrestricted free agent.
