Donald Brown, Austin Collie practice Wednesday
It's take two for Indianapolis Colts running back Donald Brown. After practicing on Wednesday and Thursday last week, Brown was suddenly held out of Friday's practice before being scratched for the team's week nine game against Houston. Well, Brown practiced again this Wednesday. He has missed the last two games with a shoulder injury. Wide receiver Austin Collie (who left in the fourth quarter versus the Texans with a neck injury) also practiced Wednesday and hopes to play Sunday night at home against the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Analysis:
Brown has already said that he will play this weekend, but let's not jump to conclusions just yet. We've seen this movie before. If he is able to play, he is not a good start right off the bat coming back from injury. But later on in the season, he could definitely see more carries and cut into Joseph Addai's value as the Colts continue to roll toward locking up the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Collie, not Pierre Garcon, has turned into the main beneficiary of Anthony Gonzalez's absence. He has scored four touchdowns in the past five games. His injury was initially thought to be a concussion, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I think Collie is a better bet to play -- and play well -- against the Patriots, but the odds are looking pretty good for both right now.
