Reggie Bush questionable for Sunday

RSS

New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush missed practice for the third consecutive day Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. Head coach Sean Payton said Bush knows the offense well enough that he could step in without the practice reps. But at the same time, he doesn't want to risk a setback with Bush, whose injury has been labeled a knee bruise. Although the knee that is bugging Bush is the same left knee that he had surgically-repaired this offseason, Payton said he's not concerned about this latest injury developing into a long-term problem.

Fantasy Analysis:
Typical Reggie Bush. As soon as his fantasy value goes up, he gets injured. I'm not saying that this will turn into anything long-term, but it's just annoying to deal with. His fragility is another reason why his own prediction of being a future league MVP will never come true. To his credit, Bush has been an unlikely source of stable fantasy points lately. He has scored five touchdowns in the past five games despite not getting double-digit touches in any of those games. While Bush hasn't been ruled out for week 11, you would think that the Saints will play it safe with him since they do have Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell available.
