Return Yardage League Strategy Guide

All other players who scored one return touchdown are listed below, many of which offer unique advantages if your league will score returns following scenario number two above:

- Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville) scored on a kickoff return but was also a great running back option last year. He scored 13 touchdowns on the ground and two more in the air.
- Dante Hall scored on one punt return last year for Kansas City. This year, he will play on the St. Louis Rams and be a fourth
- or fifth-string receiver. He is famous for multiple return TDs a few seasons ago with KC.
- Santonio Holmes (Pittsburgh) scored on a punt return. He'll also be Pittsburgh's number two receiver this year.
- Nate Burleson (Seattle) scored on a punt return. He'll be Seattle's fourth receiving option this year.
- Roscoe Parrish (Buffalo) also scored on a punt return. He'll be Buffalo's number three receiver this year.
- Reggie Bush (New Orleans) scored on a punt return, caught tons of passes and ran his fair share. Obviously Bush is a great offensive weapon.
- Antwaan Randle El (Washington) returned a punt for a TD and will be Washington's number three receiver this year.
- Mewelde Moore (Minnesota) scored on a punt return and is a third-string running back.
- Terrence Newman (Dallas) returned a punt for a TD and plays defense.
- Terrence Wilkins (Indianapolis) returned a punt for a TD and only plays special teams.
- J.J. Arrington returned a kickoff for a TD and is a third string running back.
- Rock Cartwright scored on a kickoff return and also is a third string running back.
- Joshua Cribbs returned a kickoff for a TD and is a fifth-string receiver.
- Ellis Hobbs scored on a kickoff return and plays defense.

The Best Weekly Matchups for Return Men

How can you spot good opportunities for return men each week? Each week you could try to choose the players that scored once or more last season (who are referenced above); Or, you could try a different approach. The more return opportunities you have, the greater the chance of getting a return for a touchdown. As stated previously, it's easier to get return touchdowns on punts than it is on kickoffs. That means you want your special teams to be going up against a really bad offense each week...Oakland, for example, which is a team people expect to punt a lot. Or you might choose matchups against teams that allowed lots of long returns last year on the hopes that they haven't improved. Try the following Yahoo links to help you search out those poor teams:
