Golf Rankings for Humana Challenge
Retief Goosen [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #122
Goosen is playing the Humana Challenge for the first time since 2004. The veteran used the fall schedule to help regain his form after missing a chunk of 2013 with a back injury. Last week he finished T8 in his first event of 2014.
David Toms [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #149
After missing numerous cuts throughout the 2013 season, Toms is on a streak of five cuts made in a row, highlighted by a top-10 in last year’s PGA Championship. Toms finished a career-best T6 at the Humana Challenge in 2012 and could prove to be a very useful veteran option, when healthy.
Fredrik Jacobson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #91
Jacobson hasn’t played this event since 2011, but finished 12th or better in two of his four fall starts. However, he missed the cut in those other two.
Boo Weekley [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #68
Among bottom-tier golfers Weekley is among the most trustworthy selections at the moment. He’s made 14 consecutive cuts with 10 finishes of 35th or better. Weekley is not a strong play, but one that shouldn’t hurt you either.
Jason Bohn [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #164
Bohn owns just one top-25 in five starts in the Humana Challenge, but is making his 2014 debut following a pair of podium finishes in four fall appearances.
Bae opened last week’s Sony Open with a one-stroke lead, but quickly faded after three consecutive rounds of par to finish outside of the top 30. The last two years saw him place T27 and T14 at the Humana Challenge.
