25. Tommy Gainey - World Ranking: #128
When he makes the cut, Gainey is very capable of a good finish. In 24 events this season, he’s made 13 cuts with three top-five finishes and eight top-20s. In his last two starts, Gainey finished T7 at the Viking Classic and T17 at the RBC Canadian Open.
26. D.A. Points [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #178
A year ago at the Greenbrier, Points finished T4 while ranking T8 in putting. He won earlier this season at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, but owns just a single top-20 finish since. Points ranks 31st in All-Around Ranking and is a decent middle-tier option.
27. J.J. Henry - World Ranking: #183
Despite ranking first in fairways hit and ninth in driving distance at the Greenbrier last year, Henry finished T36. This season, he’s made six consecutive cuts with three finishes of 27th or better. Henry ranks eighth in total driving and 10th in greens in regulation percentage. Consider him a safe, if unexciting play.
Despite some very impressive rankings, Couch has not finished in the top-15 since April. In the eight starts since, his best result is a T30 at the John Deere Classic. Couch hasn’t missed a cut all season, but did withdraw in the second round of the AT&T National. On Tour, he’s currently third in total driving, 12th in birdie average and sixth in All-Around Ranking. A year ago at the Greenbrier, Couch finished T36 but entered the weekend inside the top-10.
29. Cameron Tringale [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #159
Over his last five starts, Tringale has four top-25 finishes, including a pair of top-10s. Due to erratic performances during much of the season prior, Triangle does not currently own a notable rank in all one statistic. However, he’s a decent long shot and someone to monitor over the coming weeks if he continues at this pace.
30. Ryan Palmer [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #98
In addition to finishing second at the HP Byron Nelson Championship, Palmer has finished 31st or better in four of his last five starts. Aside from ranking 18th in driving distance, he’s not riding high in any other statistic but is 31st in the FedExCup points.
