Thompson began the season with a T6 in the Sony Open and is coming off a T17 in the Northern Trust Open. On the flip side, he’s missed two cuts in five starts this season and has missed the cut in his only two starts in this event.

Allenby has never competed at Cancun, but has a shot to finish well this week. In four starts this season he’s missed two cuts, but finished T22 and T33 in his other two events. While those are great results, he's a veteran to lean on given the soft field.

The 54 year old Cook finished third at Cancun last year, his first Tour start since 2007. Cook plays on the Champions Tour where he’s finished 21st or better in all of his starts this season, including a pair of top-fives. On the senior circuit Cook is currently seventh in scoring average and 18th in All-Around Ranking.

Lehman is another Champions Tour vet to consider this week. He finished T13 at Cancun last year and is currently second in All-Around Ranking on the former Senior PGA Tour. In three starts Lehman has finished 12th or better twice and is coming off a season-best T3 at the ACE Group Classic.

In four starts on the European Tour, Canizares owns three top-25 finishes and is coming off a T10 in last week’s Avantha Masters. The Spaniard has competed at Cancun four times, but owns just a single top-30.

Stadler has competed in all five events held at Cancun thus far and has collected three top-20s. This season he’s finished with back to back top-25s, something Stadler hasn’t done since 2009.

In six starts this season, Todd has finished inside the top-30 on three occasions, with two top-15s and a top-10 at Pebble. In his only trip to Cancun, he missed the cut in 2009.

After a successful 2011 on the Nationwide Tour, Flores is back on the PGA Tour after fizzling out as a rookie the year before and is now playing well. Over his last three starts, Flores owns one top-10 and another top-20.

In five starts Hoffman has missed two cuts and has yet to finish better than 35th. He’s a Tour vet making his first start at Cancun, which carries some weight given the poor quality of this field.

The native of Argentina will be making his first career start at Cancun. Carballo has scored two top-30 finishes in his last three starts this season.

The 20 year old Noh has finished 33rd or better in his last two starts. He’s only missed one cut in four events this season.

Aiken will make his first stateside start this season after modest success on the European Tour this year. In five events he's picked up two top-15s and three top-25s.
