Golf Rankings for The Masters
Martin Kaymer [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #28
Despite being one of the best players in the world Kaymer hasn’t shown it in the Masters. In four consecutive starts he’s missed every cut and has only shot one of those eight combined rounds under par. Kaymer has finished 20th or better in his last four worldwide starts, including a pair of top-10s, but his awful history at Augusta is a major concern.
After winning the Masters in 2008, Immelman has finished 20th or better in three straight starts. In six events played this season Immelman has missed three cuts, but is coming off a season-high T11 at Bay Hill.
Since 2001, Cabrera has collected five top-10s in 11 starts at Augusta and won the 2009 Masters. After starting the season with three straight missed cuts, Cabrera has finished inside the top 25 in two of the three.
Brandt Snedeker [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #4
After winning at Torrey Pines, Snedeker has only managed one top-20 in five stoke play events. Snedeker has made three starts at the Masters over the last four years with one top-five and three top-15s.
K.J. Choi [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #70
While Choi has finished 35th or worse in four of his last five stroke play events he’s been able successful the last two years at Augusta, finishing T8 and T4. Choi obviously isn’t at this best right now, but is one of the few dark horses in a fully loaded field.
The 52 year old Couples has remained competitive the last two years at the Masters with finishes of T15 and solo sixth. He finished T47 last week at Redstone but has shown on several occasions he’s capable of turning back on the clock at Augusta.
