In 13 stroke play events this season Kuchar has seven top-15 finishes and won THE PLAYERS Championship. He ranks second in scoring average, 13th in greens in regulation percentage, 19th in birdie average and ninth in All-Around Ranking. Unfortunately, Kuchar has struggled mightily in the British Open with four missed cuts over the last five years.

After a slow start to the season, Watney has finished 10th and T13 in his last two starts. In the British Open he finished a career-best T7 in 2010, but missed the cut last year.

Colsaerts’ only career start in the British Open was a missed cut back in 2004. However, he currently ranks eighth on the European Tour after finishing T11 in the Open de France and T36 in the Scottish Open.

In 15 worldwide starts this season, Siem won the recently contested Open de France and has totaled eight finishes of 17th or better. He finished T27 in his only British Open appearance in 2010.

Jacobson has finished 16th or better in his last three worldwide starts and seven top-20s in 13 events this season. He finished T16 a year ago at the British Open.

While Clarke has not played very well this season, he is the defending champion of the British Open. Clarke finished T11 at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 1996 and T3 in 2001.
