25. Pat Perez [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #147
Perez, like Senden, is a golfer lurking in the shadows who seems to emerge any time the competition falls short. He knows how to attack this course and, while he lacks any specific experience of note at the TPC San Antonio, he has the game to post low scores.
Imada has one of the most volatile resumes on the Tour. His putter comes and goes like the wind and as such he often leads to frustration for the fantasy owner. However, there is no doubting his ability to shine when the field falls short. If you like to gamble, Imada has the talent to tempt.
Goydos is a name you'll find near the top of early leaderboards at the Texas Open, but since they have moved to the TPC links in San Antonio, he has struggled. This veteran duffer may be one of the more stable options to consider, but recent history is not on his side.
Campbell is from Texas and, like Goydos, should be allotted more respect as a cagey veteran. However, his struggles to earn low scores over the past three seasons cannot be overlooked, and his work on this links in San Antonio have failed to bring forth his best.
We might be putting too much on the recent efforts of Miller, having surprised at various tourneys over the early weeks of the 2011 season. He has the length to find advantage on this course, but he lacks the history we tend to target at most events.
Atwal may be the ultimate gamble for the fantasy minded this week. He has yet to earn total respect from the passionate golf fan, but we've seen more than a few surges over the past two years. This week's field is vulnerable and Atwal has the confidence to attack.
