Golf Rankings for RBC Canadian Open
Stallings has played the Canadian Open each of the last two years (finishing T7 and T22), but is playing Glen Abbey for the first time. Earlier in the season he turned four straight missed cuts into three consecutive top-fives. Things have gone cold since with three missed cuts in his last four appearances.
Chappell missed one cut after another during the first four months of the season, but has now made seven in a row. His lone top-25 during that span is a runner-up performance at the Memorial. Chappell is 13th in total driving and 32nd in All-Around Ranking.
Scott Piercy [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #37
Piercy won last year’s Canadian Open at Hamilton and finished T6 at Shaughnessy in 2011. His only other appearance in the tournament was a T40 at Glen Abbey in 2009. Unfortunately, Piercy has now missed three straight cuts after notching three straight top-30s.
Robert Garrigus [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #38
Garrigus was last year’s runner-up in the Canadian Open and placed T44 at Glen Abbey in 2008. He’s now missed four of his six cuts and would have missed a fifth if not withdrawing before the second round of the U.S. Open.
Villegas strung together seven consecutive cuts made with three top-30s before missing the cut in last week’s Open Championship. Villegas placed T53 at Glen Abbey in 2008 and T24 in 2009. He ranks a surprising 30th in All-Around Ranking.
Gary Woodland [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #198
Woodland has made 13 straight cuts and has looked alright since leaving the Travelers Championship with a sore back. Woodland ranks first in driving distance.
