Seahawks fill out QB stable with Matt Leinart

For 10 years, Matt Hasselbeck reigned in Seattle. He started 149 of a possible 172 games. He was the face of the franchise. In one day, that has been turned completely upside down. Charlie Whitehurst was already in house. Tarvaris Jackson @7tjackson agreed to terms Tuesday, and Matt Leinart @MattLeinartQB followed him not much later. Leinart spent last season in Houston, but he didn't play in a game. Previously, he spent four infamous seasons in Arizona. He will reunite with his college head coach, Pete Carroll, and likely enter training camp as the Seahawks' No. 3 quarterback. The Washington Redskins were reportedly going after Leinart as well.

Fantasy Analysis:

Whitehurst, Jackson and Leinart in a battle royal? With Hasselbeck moving on and NFL Network's Jason La Canfora stating on Twitter that the Seahawks are out of the hunt for Kevin Kolb, it would seem so. For Seahawks fans, that has to feel a little depressing. Leinart hasn't been a fantasy factor since his rookie year. But it's not like those in front of him are a couple of John Elways. This gig is completely up in the air. Again, bad news for Seattle Seahawks wideouts.
