Packers WR Randall Cobb, RB James Starks out; TE Jermichael Finley probable
No one is expecting any of the Green Bay Packers' fantasy-worthy players to participate in Sunday's game versus the Detroit Lions for more than a quarter. A couple of them won't participate at all. Wide receiver Randall Cobb
and running back James Starks
have been ruled out for week 17. Cobb has a groin injury while Starks has had problems with knee and ankle injuries for more than month now. Tight end Jermichael Finley
is also nicked, but he's listed as probable despite a knee injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
All that means for Finley is that he'll play. He won't play for long. Same goes for Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, Ryan Grant, etc. If you want to invest in this team at all this week, I maintain that James Jones is the WR you want. Matt Flynn will see a lot of snaps in place of Rodgers, and Brandon Saine will likely be their leading rusher.
